Description and Comments

The false alarm reduction unit actively works with our partners within the False Alarm Reduction Association and Maryland Burglar & Fire Alarm Association. False alarm education and prevention are great tools to reduce false alarms. Proper design, proper installation, proper maintenance and responsible alarm use are all great tools in assisting the Department with false alarm reduction. All alarm technicians & alarm companies that operate in the City of Frederick, must be properly licensed through the Maryland State Police.
