Description Of User Fines & Penalties

$50 False alarm fee for 2nd & 3rd false alarm, $100 for the 4th, $150 for the 5th, etc. up to $500 for 12th and above false alarms for residential users, $1000 for 12th, 13th & 14th false alarms for commercial users and $2,000 for 15th and above false alarms for commercial users.

Failing to Pay false alarm fee or failing to register will result in $100 citation for residential users and $500 for commercial users.

Description of Alarm Co Fines & Penalties

$500 citation for Monitoring an unregistered user; Failure to report an unregistered user; Failure to provide a customer list upon registration, monthly, or upon request; Failure to follow the two-call verification requirement; Use of automatic dialers to 911.

Monitors are required to provide a monthly report of all customers/users being monitored in Baltimore City via email to: alarmregistration@baltimorecity.gov. They also must notify the users they are monitoring of the requirement to register within 10 days of activation.
